Scratch it all. Every last bit of it. We had a busy morning shopping for outdoor trees. We got the indoor tree up. Steph and the kids came for the afternoon. Jay and his kids came over for a bit.
And when everyone was gone, we just weren’t feeling the fancy night out.
So, we cancelled our reservation and instead headed out to Sayville Athletic Club to do some fun activities. Mainly quick draw. Then, we went back to the place it all began – ABC (now VIP) Billiards.
We played a game, had a drink, and headed home.
It was absolutely perfect.
Tonight, we’ll enjoy another evening out to dinner together.
Mom mentioned The Trattoria again…and that’s because I know you wanted to go back. So tonight, we will!
We’ve got a pretty late reservation…so if you want to call an audible and change venues, we absolutely can.
Otherwise, we can have a nice day taking care of things around the house and getting all Chrismas-y, then do dinner later in the evening.
Right now, we’ve got a 9pm reservation. They’ll call if anything opens up earlier.
Butternut squash souuuuuuuuuuup. And ALL the dessert. Looking forward to another great meal, and the very best company. Always.
